Men's Vintage Blue & Black Cafe Racer Leather Jacket

100% lamb skin jacket

I was leery about purchasing this jacket, but when it arrived today, I was pleasantly surprised. The leather is smooth, soft, and supple. As other reviewers have noted, the sleeves are pretty tight, so if you’re going to wear this jacket, you won’t be layering clothing underneath it. It is clearly intended to be worn over a shirt, and not much else.Some people have also mentioned the smell. I can confirm this is true. When you first bust it out of the bag, there’s a strong chemical-y smell, presumably left over from the dyeing process…? However, if you hang the jacket up and leave I to air out for a few days, I have no doubt it will be fine. On this point, I will update my review in the future.Finally, it may not be clear in the photo, but the zippers are all gold in color. Not silver or black as you might expect with a dark-colored jacket. I’m not a big fan of gold, and would have preferred something a bit less ostentatious, a bit more muted like gunmetal, or black. But it’s not a deal-breaker. I want to stress that it’s a very handsome garment, and it appears to be very well made. I may consider taking it in to a professional tailor to have he zippers replaced, but on the whole, I’m very pleased with the purchase.
